A really bad result as the blog has hit a stormy patch that started Saturday evening, we are always going to hit bad patches from time to time and the storm will be weathered and the sun will be shining soon enough. Desert Tommy was being whipped just 1/2 mile into the race, I waved the money goodbye at this stage, although he did come back to get within a length of the winner at the line. The money certainly came for this horse and was backed into 1.8 pre race but he could not get up.
